Resumen

This paper proposes a bird"Ÿs eye view on the regional science research in Romania, focusing on the contributions developed by the members of the Romanian Regional Science Association. The inquiry into the history of this association and its conferences has been conceived as a modality to address the main research challenges and results in relation to the transformations faced by the Romanian economy and its regions after the fall of the communist regime in December 1989.
