This study aims to discuss the functioning of cooperative education in agrarian cooperatives, in the State of Minas Gerais, and identify the contents and the audiences that are served by the activities of cooperative education. The methodological procedures used were exploratory research and questionnaires. It is concluded that cooperative education is poorly developed in the agrarian cooperatives, although there is not a unique definition of it or of the themes that should be encompassed. Therefore, it was clear that there is a polysemy of the concept of cooperative education and a variety of activities and of audiences for whom they are organized. Three privileged contents are addressed by cooperative education in agrarian cooperatives: business management, social management and technical assistance for members"Ÿ production. There are a few organizations which simultaneously offer all these contents mentioned, but they differ on their emphasis.Downloads
