This article aims to present a research study on the percentage of federal transfers to the Unified Health System (SUS) in the municipalities of RMVPLN, SP, between 2020 and 2022. Additionally, it seeks to compare the period with the highest number of COVID-19 cases and deaths in Brazil and the municipalities of the region, with the percentage of state transfers for the healthcare of these municipalities during the same period. The research is quantitative, exploratory, and comparative; the data was collected through documentary research, utilizing primary sources and bibliographic research. The results demonstrate that the studied region had socio-territorial inequalities before the pandemic, and after it, inequalities were also observed in the federal and state funding for the healthcare sector in the 39 municipalities that compose the region, compromising smaller municipalities that do not have the same resources as larger ones.
