Abstract

The present article argues the paper of the territorial proximity in the process of productive and innovative qualification of micron, small e average companies (MSAs), on the basis of the quarrels of consecrated authors and in the concept of local productive arrangement (LPA). The analysis has as deep cloth of the transformations propitiated for the emergency of the Economy of the Knowledge and the Learning and the acceleration of the globalization process. It has been broken of the estimated one of that the processes of learning and productive and innovative qualification, considered in the scope of the current tecno-economic paradigm, cannot solely be explained from internal factors to a firm or sector. Such processes also emerge of the interaction forms that are established between the different actors and local institutions, of where if it infers the relevance of the locality for the innovation processes. Moreover, the proximity and conformation of small and medium-sized agglomerations, here understood from the standpoint of LPAs, and form themselves into an important step towards the promotion of learning processes, training, innovation and competitiveness of these companies, allows through synergies arising from this organizational format, overcoming some of the limitations associated with small business.
