This article analyzes aspects related to the participation of extension technicians in the territorial development proposal carried out by La Pampa-San Luis Regional Center of Argentina's National Institute for Agricultural Technology (INTA). The study intends to find out how extension technicians participate in the new territorial development proposal. The study analyzed the theoretical production of many authors based on the evolution of the concept of development; the consolidation of sustainable development, its connection to local-territorial aspects and its relationship with participation. Once the documental and bibliographical research was finished, data collection started through interviews to professionals who work in the extension area. It was noticed that some items of the proposal, particularly those related to planning and execution, do not follow the same procedures that characterized former extension models.Downloads
