REGION, NETWORKS, MOBILITY AND POLICENTRALITY: REFLECTIONS FOR A THEORETICAL PERSPECTIVATION TO REGIONAL PLANNING

In the present article we propose to present a conceptual articulation among region, network, mobility and polycentrality, with the intention of pondering it together with analysis formulations on new centralities of Vale do Paraíba and Litoral Norte region, established in 2012 a metropolitan region of the state of São Paulo. Thus, the reflections made are intended to elicit initial notes to ascertain the metropolitan condition of the region in question, if this is indeed a reality, and to academic discussions about the gradual and collective elaboration of a theoretical perspective on regional planning, the process of unfolding the institutionalization of this metropolitan region.Downloads
