EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF MUNICIPAL ACRE STATE: AN EVALUATION OF THE YEARS 2000 AND 2010

Education of the State of Acre has undergone several changes in recent years in search of improvement, considering that there were several public policies carried out in the area. Thus, this study sought to verify that the educational profile of the municipalities of the state of Acre in 2000 and 2010 and what their level of educational development. Has outlined the following objectives: a) to develop an educational social index to the municipalities of the state of Acre, b) verify the dynamic index developed in 2000 and 2010, and c) identify clusters of municipalities with similar characteristics of education. For this, the methodology of factor analysis and cluster analysis, where the matrix X 2 factors, which represent 79.20 % of the total variance of the variables were removed was used. The results showed that 10 of the 22 counties of the State of Acre are with indexes of educational development below average and only 8 cities had increased mean IDEM 2000 to 2010. Therefore, these results lead to the conclusion that the municipal educational profile of Acre is mostly homogeneous and that too has to move forward, as are lower than expected.Downloads
