The public policies of the local governments in the Campinas Metropolitan Region regarding development based on the influence of Viracopos International Airport were analyzed using the theoretical framework of contemporary economics organized in networks of innovation, production and commercialization in the world market. We have new challenges for local government public administration in metropolitan regions, which includes the presence of transnational corporations which operate in global networks. It was noted, in this paper, that there were no convergent actions between the Federal Government and the state government, wile if was also noted that the majority of local municipal governments isolatedly tried to explore the Viracopos Airport without any metropolitan joint plan to reorder the economics and urban dynamics of the Campinas Metropolitan Region.Downloads
