Abstract

The main purpose of this article examines how structure the relationship productive space between the municipality of Formoso do Araguaia/TO with neighboring states. Therefore, we use the statistica spatial and the indicator attractive force to know the extent to which Formoso do Araguaia interact with the municipalities of Goiás, Mato Grosso and Pará. The results demonstrate that this pole located in southwestern Tocantins no effect polarizer with municipalities and mato grossense and paraense due to problems in road infrastructure and low agricultural production some of these locations. On the other hand, there is the occurrence of spatial interaction with some municipalities of northwestern Goiás Thereby is concluded that the improvement in highways, mainly Transbananal, can open opportunities for productive interaction between the Tocantins states of Mato Grosso and Pará.
