The intensity of Institutional Capital in Sustainable Territorial Development Strategy in the São Francisco Valley

This article deals with the operationalization of institutional capital in territorial development strategy in the Valley of the São Francisco River, northeast ernbacklands, aiming to explain the intensity of intangible capital in the context of resettlement of farmers in anirrigation perimeter, in order to examine in what extent the partners exercise territorial cooperation, commitment, and seek to improve the organizational and institutional relationships in order to ensure the sustainability of the process. We used anadapted model of sustainability indicator of institutional capital, obtaining completion as evidence of a low density plotoforganizational and institutional relationships, motivated mainly by aspects contrary to farmers' participation in strategic decision sand the limited number entities partnerships,well as byignoring the role of institutions intraining and support to increase the stock of social capital in the territory.Downloads
