The contribution of higher education institutions for entrepreneurship education

Entrepreneurship is the pursuit of opportunity and innovation in the creation or maintenance of a new venture. The spread of entrepreneurship spirit has a direct impact on employment generation, income and economic development. From this perspective, entrepreneurship education spreads through the society. The responsible for this broadcast are basically the Institutions of Higher Education (IHE). They are able to provide important contributions to the teaching of entrepreneurship. The objective of this paper is to analyze this contribution in the formation of enterprising individuals. This exploratory study adopted as the data collection procedure, the literature, beyond the bibliometric method. It was observed that even with the growing interest on the subject, the result is far from meeting the demands of society. The IHE need to implement practices connected with the day to day business where students learn running. Although the ideal dissonant, IHE have a fundamental role in transforming students into entrepreneurs.Downloads
