Technologies and gender performance: a study in a police station Specialized in Women care
Keywords:
Gender violence, Tech, DEAM.Abstract
This study on events and gender productions follows from the observations and field record made in a police station specialized in women care (DEAM). The data were compared with the theoretical arguments developed by Scott (1995), Butler (2003) and Lauretis (1994) in order to grasp the forms and modes of treatment given to issues of gender violence within an institution related to the field care and rights, including the police unit as a technology production instance. Makes sense to think the genre as its cultural dimension of subjectivity and inter-subjectivity, since it results, in part, by the common historical and cultural effect that keeps representational beliefs, social norms and institutions that legitimize its meaning. Equivalent to saying that violence, technologies of gender and the performances are shown by various forms and intensities. These impacts have been identified within the social relations impose state interventions in their various spheres, not only in terms of public policy, but accessibility to the right won.Downloads
