The paper presents the context in which develops the Latin American thinking on science and technology. The question "teach CTS for what?" enables the relationship between capacity building in Science and Technology and Social Development, the main objective of the article. For that, discusses the technoscientific dimension of social inclusion and supports the idea that the Brazilian science and technology policy is not sufficiently integrated with social policies.Downloads
